Simple,Complex এবং Compound Sentence টপিকটা সহজে শিখে রাখি
★★★Rule:1
Simple <> Complex<>Compound
To <>So That <>And
অর্থাৎ, So That যুক্ত Complex Sentence কে Compound করতে হলে And এবং Simple করতে হলে To ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
Example:
Complex: We read so that we can learn.
Compound: We read and we learn.
Simple: We read to learn.

Simple<> Complex <>Compound
Inspite Of/Despite<> Though/Although<> But
অর্থাৎ, Though/Although যুক্ত Complex Sentence কে Compound করতে হলে But এবং Simple করতে হলে Inspite Of/Despite ব্যবহার করতে হয়।এক্ষেত্রে Simple করার ক্ষেত্রে Inspite of/despite এর পর Verb+ing বসাতে হয়।
Example:
Complex: Though they played well, they lost the match.
Compound: They played well but lost the match.
Simple: Inspite of playing well,they lost the match.

Simple <>Complex <>Compound
Verb+ing As/Since And So
অর্থাৎ, As/since যুক্ত Complex Sentence কে Compound করতে হলে And So এবং simple করতে হলে Verb+ing ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
Example:
Complex: As my brother was honest,he was rewarded.
Compound: My brother was honest and so he was rewarded.
Simple: Being(was+ing) honest my brother was rewarded.

Simple <>Complex <>Compound
too....to so.....that (negative) very....and
অর্থাৎ, So....that যুক্ত Negative Sentence কে Compound করতে হলে Very...And এবং Simple করতে হলে too....to ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
Example:
Complex: He is so weak that he cannot walk.
Compound: He is very weak and he cannot walk.
Simple: He is too weak to walk.

Simple <>Complex <>Compound
Without..verb+ing<> If+Negative <>Or
অর্থাৎ,If যুক্ত negative Complex sentence কে Compound করতে হলে Or ব্যবহার করতে হয় এবং Simple করতে হলে Without... Verb+ing ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
Example :
Complex: If you do not study hard,u will fail.
Compound: Study hard or u will fail.
Simple: Without studying hard u will fail.

Simple<> Complex <>Compound
By..Verb+ing<> If+Aff. Verb...<> And
অর্থাৎ, If যুক্ত Affirmative Sentence কে Compound করতে হলে Verb...And ব্যবহার করতে হয় এবং Simple করতে হলে By...Verb+ing ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
Example:
Complex: If u work hard,u will succeed.
Compound: Work hard and succeed.
Simple: By working hard u will succeed.

Simple <>Complex<> Compound
Adjective<> Which/That/Who<> And
অর্থাৎ, Which/That/Who যুক্ত Complex sentence কে Compound করতে হলে And এবং Simple করতে হলে Adjective ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
Example:
Complex: He was a teacher who was good.
Compound: He was a teacher and he was good.
Simple: He was a good teacher.

Simple<> Complex<> Compound
At the time of <>When<> And
অর্থাৎ, When যুক্ত Complex Sentence কে Compound করতে হলে And ব্যবহার করতে হয় এবং Simple করতে হলে At the time of ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
Example:
Complex: He woke up when it was raining.
Compound: He woke up and it was raining.
Simple: He woke up at the time of raining.
